Collibra Integration Engineer – AVP
London | Initial 6-month contract | £430 per day | Umbrella
I am currently recruiting for a Collibra Integration Engineer – AVP to join a major financial services organisation in London.
This is an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend for up to 2 years, paying £430 per day via an umbrella company.
The role will sit within the Data Management function and will support the implementation of data governance across important business services, with a particular focus on Collibra, data lineage and technical metadata.
The Role
You will work closely with Data Governance Analysts, application teams, ETL teams, DBAs and wider IT and project teams to ensure data sources are appropriately configured and that technical assets are accurately captured and maintained within Collibra.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and supporting data governance solutions using Collibra DIP/CDQ.
- Managing technical assets within Collibra, including data lineage and physical-to-logical data mappings.
- Configuring and running EDGE and Lineage Harvester to access different data stores and generate physical and lineage assets.
- Working with stakeholders to understand data governance requirements and challenges.
- Supporting effective metadata management and data lineage across the organisation.
- Working closely with Data Office, application, ETL and database teams to ensure prerequisites for data sources are met.
- Supporting monthly Collibra upgrades and regression testing.
- Managing and maintaining technical assets within the Collibra environment.
- Providing regular updates and proactively identifying and reporting risks and issues.

Key Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Strong hands-on experience implementing data governance using Collibra and/or Collibra Data Quality.
- Experience working with data governance frameworks, policies and processes.
- Strong understanding of data management and data modelling concepts.
- Experience with data lineage and metadata management.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, such as PL/SQL or T-SQL.
- Experience working with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
- Experience working within the financial services sector.
- Good understanding of Agile delivery.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with Collibra EDGE and Lineage Harvester would be highly relevant.
- Exposure to C#, Python, JSON or other programming languages would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA would be beneficial.
