Data Engineer (AI, Machine Learning & Industrial Analytics)

Location: Glasgow / Hybrid

Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (with a clear opportunity to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business growth)

Salary: D.O.E.

A growing technology business at the forefront of industrial intelligence is seeking a talented Data Engineer to help build next-generation AI solutions for the manufacturing sector. The company develops innovative technologies that capture, process, and analyse real-world machine data, enabling customers to reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and move towards predictive maintenance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the full technology stack, from real-time data acquisition and engineering through to machine learning models, analytics, and user-facing applications.

The Role

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing and supporting end-to-end data and AI systems. Working within a small, highly technical team, you'll contribute across a broad range of technologies and have the opportunity to see your work deployed directly into customer environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
