Data Engineer
Location: London – Hybrid
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join a business at an exciting stage of its technology transformation. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both established on-premises infrastructure and modern cloud technologies, helping shape the future of the data platform rather than simply maintaining an existing setup.
You’ll work across legacy SQL Server environments and Azure-native data technologies, contributing to the development and modernisation of data infrastructure, pipelines, and processes.
Key Experience
- Strong experience with on-premises SQL Server and data engineering.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure data services and cloud-based platforms.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and/or data orchestration tools.
- Experience working across legacy infrastructure and modern cloud environments.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate
We’re keen to speak with someone who combines strong technical foundations with a practical, hands-on approach. You don’t need to tick every technical box. A willingness to learn, adaptability, and the ability to work well with others are just as important as your existing skill set.
Experience with PowerShell, business intelligence, or client-facing environments would be advantageous.
