AWS Snowflake Data Engineer
Location: Bristol
Role Overview
We are urgently looking for 2 strong Data Engineers to support the data capabilities of the Accounts platform. The main focus will be on building and maintaining Snowflake-based data solutions, data pipelines, ETL processes, and data services.
The ideal candidate should be hands-on with Snowflake, SQL, Python/PySpark and DBT, with good experience working in AWS cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake, SQL, Python/PySpark and DBT.
- Design and develop data transformation and processing solutions.
- Implement data quality, monitoring and reconciliation.
- Work on data modelling and data architecture.
- Support secure and reliable data platforms.
- Troubleshoot pipeline and production issues.
- Automate data engineering processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Work closely with developers, architects, business stakeholders and other engineering teams.
- Follow Agile development and modern engineering practices.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong hands-on Snowflake experience.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Python and/or PySpark for data pipeline development.
- Experience with DBT and ETL/ELT processes.
- Good understanding of data modelling.
- Experience with modern cloud data engineering.
- AWS experience, particularly DMS, Lambda, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch and CloudFormation.
- Understanding of data security, RBAC and governance.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
