About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Recruiting Analytics Data Engineer to join our People Data Solutions team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that underpins our recruiting analytics capabilities. You will serve as the technical foundation for our recruiting analytics initiatives, designing scalable data architectures and implementing robust data models that facilitate evidence-based decision-making across the organization. This position sits at the intersection of data engineering and recruiting analytics, offering a unique opportunity to influence workforce planning, recruitment strategies, and AI-driven insights.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, recruiting, and engineering to develop scalable data solutions. Your expertise will help transform raw HR data into trusted, reusable datasets, enabling self-serve analytics and supporting strategic initiatives. The role also involves ensuring data quality, security, and compliance, while automating pipelines and creating semantic layers that make complex data accessible to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering
- Expertise in BigQuery, including optimization and partitioning techniques
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data tools such as dbt and Fivetran
- Experience designing and implementing dimensional models and understanding of slowly changing dimensions
- Knowledge of data security and privacy controls in cloud data warehouses
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
- Experience translating HR concepts into scalable data models
- Familiarity with workforce planning and predictive analytics use cases
- Experience with ATS platforms like Greenhouse and Lever and their data structures
- Background in building semantic layers and data products for non-technical users
- Knowledge of graph databases or network analysis libraries (preferred)
- Experience with privacy-enhancing technologies and handling sensitive data
- Experience building data pipelines for survey data and text analytics (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Refactor and optimize existing BigQuery tables to create a scalable, high-performance data foundation supporting AI-driven insights
- Design and implement scalable data architectures and dimensional models to transform raw HR data into trusted datasets for analytics
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Fivetran, and BigQuery to integrate data from HRIS (Workday), ATS (Greenhouse), and internal tools
- Create reliable data flows that support both real-time and batch processing needs with fault-tolerance and error handling
- Implement data governance protocols, including documentation, lineage tracking, quality monitoring, and proactive alerting systems
- Ensure appropriate data access controls, including row and column-level security, to protect sensitive candidate and workforce data
- Automate data quality checks and validation processes across all pipelines
- Build semantic layers and comprehensive documentation to make complex recruiting data accessible to non-technical stakeholders
- Develop data products that standardize key recruiting metrics such as offer accept rate, time to fill, and headcount movement
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and recruiting teams to develop scalable data models that serve organizational needs
- Translate HR concepts into scalable, secure, and efficient data models and pipelines
