Data Engineer

Contract: 6 months initially, with potential extension Location: London - 3 days onsite Rate: £450-£460 per day, Inside IR35 Start: ASAP

We're currently supporting a major organisation within the financial services sector that is going through a significant data transformation and cloud modernisation programme. They are looking for experienced Data Engineers to join the team and play a hands-on role in designing, developing and maintaining scalable data solutions.

This is a delivery-focused engineering position, suited to someone who enjoys getting hands-on with data platforms and building robust solutions rather than a purely architectural or management-focused role.

The Role

You'll be responsible for developing and optimising data pipelines, supporting the migration of Legacy data platforms into modern cloud-based environments, and integrating data across complex enterprise systems.

You'll work closely with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into reliable, scalable data solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
