Data Engineering Consultant
Permanent | UK Wide | Hybrid Working (2 days a week in-office)
We're partnering with a highly respected, award-winning technology consultancy that's continuing to invest heavily in its Data & AI practice. As demand continues to grow, they're looking for experienced Data Engineering Consultants to help deliver large-scale cloud data transformation projects for some of the UK's most recognisable organisations.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Data Engineering Consultant, you'll work closely with clients to understand their business challenges before designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native data solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing modern data platforms using Databricks and cloud technologies.
- Building robust, scalable data pipelines using PySpark and Python.
- Creating efficient ELT/ETL processes and implementing best practices around data quality and governance.
- Optimising data models and data architectures for performance and scalability.
- Collaborating with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, Analysts and wider engineering teams.
- Leading technical workstreams and contributing to successful end-to-end project delivery.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior consultants where appropriate.
- Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and helping clients adopt modern data engineering practices.

What We're Looking For:
We're looking for experienced consultants who combine strong technical skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
You'll have:
- Strong commercial experience delivering modern Data Engineering solutions.
- Experience with Databricks and PySpark.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience building and optimising cloud-based data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and modern data architecture principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage directly with clients.
- A consultative mindset with the ability to solve complex business problems through technology.
