You get to own your work, sit at the heart of a genuinely interesting business, and help build something that actually matters.

This is a digital asset investment firm running computer-driven trading algorithms across cryptocurrencies, digital assets, and derivatives. The technology is the business, and data engineering sits right at the centre of it.

No two days look the same here. One day you could be working closely with the quant team, the next you are supporting finance or operations, and the next you are deep in infrastructure with the engineering team. You have real ownership over what you build and how you build it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The firm is actively building an engineering culture where AI plays a genuine role in how the team works. If that kind of environment appeals to you, this is a place you can grow into, not just grow out of.

You will be working hybrid, four days a week in the office, so you are embedded in the team and close to the decisions that matter.

In terms of what you bring, you have deep Python skills and strong experience with SQL and Postgres. You have shipped data pipelines into production using Airflow or something comparable, and you are comfortable working across AWS.
