Data Engineer - Azure
Hybrid working - London
SC Clearance or SC Clearable

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer who has a strong background in data engineering and architecture, with expertise in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, and SQL. The role requires hands-on technical skills as well as the ability to lead a team or manage projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Fabric, and SQL.
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, guiding them in best practices for data management and architecture.
- Oversee end-to-end data pipeline development, ensuring data quality, integrity, and scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of data architecture and processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.

- Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, SQL: Advanced experience in designing and implementing solutions.
- Has experience in leading a team or managing data engineering projects.
- SC Clearance or SC Clearable: Candidates must currently hold SC (Security Clearance) or be eligible for clearance.
- Experience with other Azure services, such as Azure Databricks or Azure Data Lake.
- Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
