Clearance Requirement

Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Check (SC) clearance and able to complete BPSS checks. Active SC candidates are preferable.

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Data Engineers to support delivery within a large-scale data exploitation programme. You will work within an established Talend framework, developing and maintaining ETL pipelines while supporting Oracle RDS databases and CI/CD processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain ETL solutions using Talend.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle SQL and DDL artefacts.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and enhancements, particularly using GitLab.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve defects across development and testing environments.
  • Conduct component testing, including the creation and management of test data.
  • Support QA, performance testing and production releases.
  • Carry out peer reviews of development and testing artefacts.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support effective cross-team collaboration.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong, hands-on Talend experience.
  • Proven experience working with Oracle databases, ideally Oracle RDS.
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modelling.
  • Experience working within structured SDLC and software testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly GitLab.
  • Experience working in enterprise-scale environments.
