Global Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund | London
Reference data is fundamental to how investment teams operate. This is an opportunity to join a global multi-strategy hedge fund and help build the data products that underpin investment research, portfolio management, and risk.
You'll work closely with Front Office stakeholders, taking complex market and reference data and turning it into reliable, high-quality datasets that can be used across the investment platform. The focus is on solving real data problems across equity identifiers, corporate actions, and vendor datasets, ensuring investment teams can trust the data behind their decisions.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and improving market and reference data products used across investment teams.
- Working with equity identifiers, corporate actions, and external vendor datasets.
- Integrating, validating, and enriching financial data across the firm's central data platform.
- Developing automated data quality checks to improve accuracy, reliability, and consistency.
- Working directly with Front Office stakeholders to understand their requirements and improve how data supports the investment process.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
