Data Engineer - London - Hybrid (Monday-Thursday in the office, Friday WFH)
Competitive Salary DOE - J13162
Currently working with the UK's largest independent media agency to recruit an experienced Data Engineer to join their award-winning Insight, Analytics & Data team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the industry's most respected agencies, helping to build cutting-edge cloud-based data solutions that enable clients to maximise the value of their marketing and customer data.
You'll play a key role within a specialist Data & Tech Solutions team, designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, integrating data from multiple marketing platforms, and delivering high-quality data solutions that power reporting, campaign activation and business insights. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data engineering, cloud technologies and marketing technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain cloud-based data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (with exposure to AWS and Azure).
- Develop and manage ELT pipelines to ensure accurate, reliable and timely data delivery across multiple client projects.
- Integrate data from advertising platforms, analytics platforms, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM and other third-party systems.
- Build scalable data models and databases using Google BigQuery.
- Support the delivery of best-in-class reporting and visualisation solutions using Looker or similar BI tools.
- Manage client data integrations, ensuring correct platform access, validation and documentation throughout delivery.
- Configure and work with APIs to integrate multiple marketing and business data sources.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners and clients to deliver innovative data-driven marketing solutions.
- Support AI-driven transformation initiatives and future-facing data projects across the agency.
- Ensure data quality, troubleshoot issues and continuously improve existing engineering processes and workflows.

Required Skills
- Commercial experience in a Data Engineering or Data Developer role.
- Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience implementing cloud-based data solutions.
- Experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM data.
- Understanding of marketing platforms, campaign metrics and digital marketing KPIs.
- Experience building and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines.
- Knowledge of APIs and integrating third-party data sources.
- Experience with Looker, Tableau or Power BI.
- Understanding of the AdTech/MarTech landscape.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and project management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
