Data Engineer – Python / SQL / Cloud – Contract
We’re looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to join a multidisciplinary technology consultancy delivering cloud-based data solutions to the Public Sector.
You must have Active SC Clearance in a current or very recently ended role, and you will be required to provide evidence of active status, obtained within the last month, from UKSV to be eligible for an Interview.
- Rate: £300 – £375 per day depending on experience (non-negotiable)
- IR35: Inside IR35
- Start: ASAP – must be able to start within 2 weeks
- Level: SFIA Level 4
- Location: Mostly UK-remote, with some travel likely to Manchester/London fortnightly.

Key Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in a hands-on Data Engineering role
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience designing and maintaining production data pipelines
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT principles and practices
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, AWS/Azure etc
- Experience with data modelling and transformation
- Strong understanding of data quality and data integrity
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking responsibility for your own delivery
- Able to work effectively alongside other engineering and delivery disciplines
