You get genuine ownership here, not just a seat at the table.
This is a data engineer role sitting inside a tech-focused asset manager that moves fast, thinks collaboratively, and actually invests in its data infrastructure. You are joining at a pivotal moment as the business builds out its next generation data platform, and you are one of the people shaping what that looks like.
Day to day
- You are designing and building data pipelines and integrations
- Working closely with stakeholders across the business to understand what they need and translating that into robust, scalable solutions
- You are working with Snowflake, Python, and SQL across a modern stack
- You are not just executing someone else's vision. You are contributing to decisions about the architecture and the technologies the team adopts going forward

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Because this is a senior seat, you have real autonomy. You set direction, mentor those around you, and take ownership of the work end to end. The environment is agile and the people around you are engaged and technically sharp, so you will have good conversations and real collaboration rather than working in a silo.
