About the Role

Remit Choice Limited is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our IT Department. The successful candidate will design, build and maintain data pipelines, architecture and infrastructure that enable the business to collect, manage and use data reliably and efficiently.

This is an opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys solving complex data challenges and contributing to the development of reliable and scalable data systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Develop and optimise data architecture, warehousing and storage solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity and availability across systems.
  • Work closely with data analysts, software engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation and delivery infrastructure.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and improve data system performance.
  • Implement data governance, security and compliance practices.
  • Maintain clear documentation of data systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect or in a similar role.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with a programming language such as Python, Java or Scala.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Understanding of data modelling, database design and data architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
