Data & AI Engineer | London - Hybrid | Up to £67,000 + Bonus

We’re partnering with a technology-led consultancy that combines data, software, and AI to deliver research and analysis for leading organisations across sustainability, investment, and other complex areas.

Alongside their consultancy offering, the business has built its own data platform, combining structured company data with AI-assisted analysis. They’re now looking for a Data & AI Engineer to join their growing engineering team and take ownership of defined components of the platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with around 2–3 years’ experience who wants to work at the intersection of Python, data engineering and applied AI, with genuine ownership and exposure to how AI is used in a real-world product.

The Role

As a Data & AI Engineer, you’ll sit between the junior and senior engineering levels, taking ownership of defined components of the platform while contributing to how those solutions are designed and delivered.

A key part of the role will be being able to understand and explain AI clearly. You’ll work closely with technical and non-technical colleagues, helping them understand how AI-generated assessments work, where they can be trusted, and where their limitations sit.

There will also be occasional supported client exposure, giving you the opportunity to see first-hand how the technology you build is being used.

What You’ll Be Doing

AI & Data Engineering

  • Own and develop components of AI-assisted assessment pipelines
  • Work across prompt design, quality assurance, evaluation, and citation checking
  • Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines and models using Python and PostgreSQL
  • Run evaluations of pipeline performance and use the results to improve outputs
  • Work with company, issuer, and portfolio data at scale
  • Contribute to the continued development of the company’s AI methodology

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
