Data Engineer - Contract
Location: UK - Remote
Contract Duration: 19 October 2026 - 16 April 2027
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed-term contract
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a high-performing Analytics and Operations team supporting large-scale Marketing and Communications initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Data Engineer to work on complex data engineering projects involving large-scale datasets, ETL pipelines, data modelling, dashboards and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Marketing, Communications and Data Science teams to understand business and analytical requirements.
- Design and develop data models, ETL pipelines, dashboards and analytical solutions.
- Build and optimize data pipelines using structured and unstructured data sources.
- Solve complex data integration challenges using effective ETL patterns, frameworks and query techniques.
- Develop scalable solutions capable of processing very large datasets, including billions of rows of data.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into practical solutions.
- Contribute to data architecture and make appropriate design and operational cost-benefit decisions.
- Ensure data quality and address data-related issues effectively.
- Implement appropriate security and privacy safeguards within data solutions.
- Take ownership of projects from initial architecture and design through to execution and delivery.
- Use AI tools where appropriate to improve engineering efficiency, coding and data-related workflows.
- Support dashboard development and data visualization activities.
