We Are Hiring: Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric
Contract | Leeds | Hybrid | UK Candidates Only | No Agency
FULTOO is looking for an experienced Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric to join a client project in Leeds.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely hands-on and has strong, proven experience with Microsoft Fabric.
Strong, proven experience in Microsoft Fabric is a MUST
What you will do
- Design and develop data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric
- Build and maintain Fabric Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions
- Develop data ingestion and transformation processes
- Work with OneLake, Data Factory and Data Pipelines
- Create and run prototype pipelines to validate technical solutions
- Be hands-on with implementation, development and troubleshooting
- Develop efficient and scalable data models
- Integrate data from multiple sources
- Monitor and optimise pipeline performance
- Work closely with Data Architects, BI Developers and business stakeholders
- Implement data quality, security and governance best practices
- Troubleshoot data and pipeline issues

Required Skills
- Strong, proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (MUST)
- Strong experience in Fabric Data Engineering
- Lakehouse & Data Warehouse
- OneLake
- Data Factory & Data Pipelines
- Strong SQL
- Data ingestion, transformation and integration
- Data modelling and performance optimisation
- Experience with Power BI / Semantic Models
- Experience with Azure Data Services
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

What we're looking for
- ✅ Someone who can create and run prototype pipelines independently
- ✅ Someone who is hands-on, not purely an architectural/design resource
- ✅ Ability to take a requirement from concept → prototype → development → production
- ✅ Comfortable working with architects, developers and business teams
- ✅ Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
