Job description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Engineer to join the team, here at Keepmoat on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The position will be based from our Head Office at Lakeside, Doncaster.
Reporting to the Senior Data Engineer, this is an excellent role to be part of our Project Quanta team driving the transformation of our COINS ERP system, helping to improve operational efficiency and support Keepmoat’s continued growth.
Main purpose of the role
- Design and implement data integrations between business applications as well as creating data models and ETL processes into the data warehouse for business intelligence solutions
- Lead and deliver data initiatives as part of the delivery of the data strategy and roadmap, working closely with the BI Manager
- Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to understand data challenges and define technical requirements for integration solutions
- Re-engineer manual data flows into automated and scalable processes
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition
- Hands-on development of data integrations, data warehouse and ETL processes
- Hands-on development of data management reports and dashboards
- Perform data warehouse life cycle management activities including analysis, testing, implementation, and monitoring
- Development and maintenance of technical documentation
- Champion data engineering excellence driving best practices in agile delivery, data security, service delivery, data quality, testing, technical architecture, and design

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
- 5+ years of proven professional experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence/Analytics
- Experience working with data integration and ETL tools (specifically Informatica)
- Relational database and SQL experience (preferably SQL Server/Azure SQL Database, T-SQL)
- Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and ETL techniques
- Experience coding/scripting (preferably in Python and/or PowerShell)
- Experience of working with APIs
- Experience of working in an agile environment (preferably with Azure DevOps)
- Effective software development life cycle (SDLC) management skills
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
- Capable of managing a broad range of projects and activities

- Knowledge of the housebuilding industry
- Experience with COINS ERP system
The role is likely to require presence in Doncaster a couple of times a month.
