We're partnering with a prominent public sector organisation to find an experienced Data Engineer to drive the continued development and evolution of its enterprise data platform. This is a critical technical role focusing on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines to ensure trusted data for reporting, analytics, and crucial business decision-making.

The Role

  • Lead the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise data pipelines and integration solutions.
  • Build and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable data platforms to support analytics and reporting.
  • Define and promote engineering standards covering automation, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring processes to improve the reliability of data products.
  • Investigate and resolve complex data issues, driving continuous improvement across the data platform.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust engineering solutions.

What You'll Need

  • Significant experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Platform Engineering within a complex organisation.
  • Strong experience designing and developing enterprise-scale data pipelines and integration solutions.
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data to support analytics and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data engineering principles.
  • Experience implementing data quality controls, monitoring, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience working with the Microsoft data stack, particularly Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
