Data Engineer – Snowflake/AWS Glue/Airflow
Our client, a reputable name in the financial services sector, is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing data function and help build and enhance a modern cloud-based data platform.
This is a hands-on role focused on designing and developing scalable data pipelines, improving data quality, and delivering trusted data solutions that support business decision-making. You will work extensively with Snowflake, AWS Glue and Airflow, building automated ETL/ELT processes, managing data ingestion workflows and helping shape best practices across the platform. You will also help mentor junior engineers over time as the team grows.

The successful candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience working with cloud data technologies, and a proven background delivering data engineering solutions within complex environments. Experience within financial services is highly desirable, particularly where you have worked with large datasets, data governance, and production-grade platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges and wants to play a key role in developing a scalable, future-focused data platform.
The role is based out of Edinburgh and requires 6 days a week in the office per month. The salary is £75,000 base + pension.
