DATA ENGINEER

£60,000

REMOTE

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing automotive business investing heavily in its data capabilities. You'll work on a modern cloud-based data platform, helping to deliver business-critical insights while having genuine influence over the future direction of the data function.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading UK retail and automotive business that has experienced significant growth through continued investment and expansion. As data becomes increasingly central to decision-making across the organisation, they are looking to strengthen their engineering capability with two new hires who will play an important role in scaling the platform and supporting future growth.

THE ROLE

  • Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT processes
  • Develop and optimise data models to support reporting and analytics
  • Integrate data from APIs, databases and third-party applications
  • Work closely with analysts and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets
  • Support customer journey, operational and business performance analytics projects
  • Improve data quality, platform reliability and engineering best practices
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and future platform enhancements
  • Work with a modern data stack including Snowflake, dbt and Fivetran

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong experience in Data Engineering
  • Excellent SQL and data modelling skills
  • Experience designing and maintaining data warehouses
  • Experience building and supporting data pipelines
  • Knowledge of CDC (Change Data Capture) methodologies
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
  • Python scripting and automation experience
  • Experience integrating data from APIs and multiple source systems
  • Snowflake and Fivetran experience would be highly advantageous

SALARY AND BENEFITS
