Data Engineer
Amsterdam or London (Hybrid) | Competitive Salary + Benefits
This is an opportunity to join a growing investment-focused organisation at a pivotal stage in its data journey. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building the firm's core data infrastructure, shaping how investment, portfolio and operational data is managed, integrated and leveraged across the business.
The Company

With a strong focus on informed decision-making, they are investing heavily in their data capabilities to support growth, improve operational efficiency and enhance reporting. This role offers the chance to influence data strategy from the ground up and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
The Role
- Design and develop scalable data infrastructure and data pipelines.
- Build integrations between core business systems and third-party platforms.
- Establish data standards, governance frameworks and quality controls.
- Develop automated reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Drive improvements to data accessibility, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Help define and execute the long-term data strategy and roadmap.

Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in data engineering, data architecture and systems integration.
- Advanced coding and database skills.
- Experience building and maintaining modern data platforms and workflows.
- Strong experience with BI and reporting tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive projects from concept to delivery.
- Essential experience working with financial, investment, private equity, venture capital, asset management or related financial services data.
- Understanding of investment processes, portfolio reporting, deal activity, fund operations and financial data structures is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting data requirements within an investment or financial services environment is strongly preferred.
