Help Build the Data Foundations Behind a Meaningful Cause
We're partnering with a leading UK charity that is investing heavily in its data and technology capabilities as part of a wider digital transformation programme. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and modernising scalable data solutions that enable better decision-making across the organisation. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on technical engineering with a genuinely rewarding purpose, helping support services that make a real difference to pets and their owners across the UK.
The Role
You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining robust data platforms, pipelines, and integration solutions that support reporting, analytics, and operational systems across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions and platforms.
- Developing and optimising ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Working across multiple data sources to ensure data quality, integrity, and performance.
- Supporting SQL Server environments, including SSIS, SSRS, and related technologies.
- Developing solutions using Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, and packages.
- Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to understand and deliver data requirements.
- Troubleshooting data issues and driving continuous improvement across the data estate.
- Supporting best practice around documentation, security, and data governance.

About You
We're looking for a technically strong Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges and delivering high-quality solutions.
You'll ideally have experience with:
- SQL Server
- SSIS
- SSRS
- T-SQL
- Oracle PL/SQL
- ETL design and development
- Data integration and pipeline development
- Data governance and quality management
Desirable experience includes:
- Microsoft Fabric
- Azure Data Factory
- Modern cloud-based data platforms
