Subject Access Request Administrator
Leading London organisation, temporary 3 to 4 weeks, hybrid working £16.70-£17.40 including a paid lunch break
Leading London organisation needs a temporary Subject Access Administrator within Records and Information Governance. This is a hybrid working temporary role on a specific project and you will work closely with the Data Protection officer and a colleague. It is for 3 to 4 weeks and they can be flexible on the hybrid working arrangements. The key aim of the role is to provide short-term operational support to the Records and Information Governance team in handling allocated Subject Access Requests in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the management of allocated Subject Access Requests from receipt to response
- Helping to ensure compliance with statutory timescales
- Escalating complex data protection issues as required
- Log requests, update SAR trackers, monitor deadlines and maintain clear case notes
- Apply relevant exemptions and carry out redactions in line with Data Protection legislation and internal guidance
- Prepare disclosure material, supporting schedules and response documentation for review and approval
- Maintain accurate records of requests, decisions, and correspondence to support transparency and audit
- Liaising with colleagues across the organisation to gather information to identify, retrieve, and collate information for disclosure
- Reviewing results in Microsoft eDiscovery
- Applying exemptions and redactions, and maintaining accurate case records
- Escalating complex issues as required

Requirements
- Experience supporting or managing Subject Access Requests
- Working knowledge of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the practical handling of personal data
- Experience reviewing, organising and redacting records containing personal data
- Confidence using Microsoft 365, Microsoft eDiscovery or similar search and review tools
- Strong attention to detail, discretion, judgement and ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a short term role
- Strong organisational skills
- Sound judgement
- A working knowledge of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018
