Join us as a Data Governance Analyst and play a key role in strengthening how data is managed, governed, and trusted across the bank.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to build expertise in data governance within a growing, technology-driven bank.

Where You Will Work

You will enjoy hybrid working, with 3 days per week in our London office and 2 days working from home.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of data governance across the bank.
  • Maintain and enhance the data catalogue, business glossary, and data dictionary.
  • Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business stakeholders to improve data quality and governance practices.
  • Facilitate governance forums, steering groups, and working groups to drive collaboration and accountability.
  • Monitor, manage, and help resolve data quality issues and risks.
  • Support data lineage, metadata management, and data governance activities across multiple domains.
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules and controls.
  • Create governance templates, processes, and supporting documentation.
  • Produce meaningful governance metrics, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
  • Deliver guidance, support, and training to colleagues across the bank.

What You Will Bring

  • A passion for data, governance, business improvement, or risk management.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a bias towards action and continuous improvement.
  • The confidence to take ownership, show initiative, and see tasks through to completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Experience within banking, financial services, data management, operations, business analysis, risk, or a similar environment would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to data governance, data quality management, metadata management, or regulatory reporting would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Basic SQL knowledge would be advantageous, although we are happy to support someone with the right aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Experience with data catalogue tools, Google Cloud Platform, or Dataplex would be welcomed but is not essential.
