Data & AI Governance Consultant

Location

South / South West UK (Hybrid, 2 days/week on-site)

Clearance

SC Required (Active or lapsed)

Contract

Permanent | 1-Month Notice Preferred

The Role

Join a premier consultancy advising public sector clients on data management, compliance, and responsible AI deployment.

Key Focus Areas

  • Data Governance: Establish data quality rules, stewardship models, lineage, and metadata catalogues (e.g., Purview, Collibra).
  • AI Assurance: Validate training data, define model testing/acceptance criteria, and set up drift monitoring and risk controls.
  • Advisory & Delivery: Lead client workshops, build operating models, and produce clear governance artefacts aligned to SFIA 4 standards.

  • Proven track record in data governance, DPIAs, and data quality frameworks.
  • Practical exposure to AI risk management and lifecycle assurance.
  • Familiarity with MLOps/cloud ecosystems (Azure ML, Databricks, Fabric).
  • Background in defence, maritime, geospatial, or energy sectors is a strong plus.
  • Active or restorable UK SC clearance.
