About The Post

The University of Suffolk is looking for an organised and proactive Data Governance and Legal Services Administrator to join our Data Governance and Legal Services team within the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

This varied role will provide administrative support across information governance, legal services, and committee administration. You will help administer and track Freedom of Information requests, Subject Access Requests, Data Protection Impact Assessments, and data breach records, while maintaining accurate registers and supporting compliance with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and other relevant legislation.

You will also support committees and meetings, help maintain guidance, procedures, and templates, respond to routine enquiries, and contribute to projects that improve and automate team processes.

About You

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, good communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems. You will be comfortable handling confidential information, managing competing priorities and working collaboratively with colleagues across the University.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
