Job Title: Data Governance Engineer / Data Governance Consultant
Client Domain – Telecommunications
Employment Type: Contract (Inside IR35 considered)

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days Week / Office)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant to support Telecom Partner and Enterprise Data Management initiatives. The role will be responsible for establishing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, compliance, metadata management, and data lineage across the Google Cloud ecosystem.
The candidate should possess hands-on experience with Google Cloud Dataplex, Atlan Data Catalog, metadata management, policy tagging, data contracts, and end-to-end data lineage implementation. The role will work closely with business, architecture, engineering, and compliance teams to define governance standards, drive data stewardship, and ensure regulatory compliance across critical data domains.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise Data Governance frameworks and operating models.
- Define and manage data quality standards, controls, and monitoring processes.
- Implement and maintain metadata management and business glossary capabilities.
- Establish data lineage tracking and impact analysis across data platforms.
- Define and implement data contracts, governance policies, and stewardship processes.
- Configure and manage policy tagging, data classification, and compliance controls.
- Drive adoption of governance practices using Google Cloud Dataplex and Atlan Data Catalog.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and audit requirements.
- Support enterprise data management initiatives and Digital Twin data governance requirements.
