About The Role

Knight Frank is seeking a Data Governance Foundations and Programme Support Manager to join our Office of Transformation team at our Head office in Baker Street! This position is offered on a 18-month Fixed Term Contract basis.

Knight Frank: Together is the firm's transformation programme, focused on improving how we serve clients, support our people and create a more efficient and future-ready business.

As Knight Frank continues to invest in technology, data and process improvement, there is a growing need to establish clear ownership and accountability for business data. This role, operating from with the Transformation Office will help create the foundations for effective data governance across the organisation whilst providing programme support to the wider transformation portfolio.

Working closely with business stakeholders, project teams and the existing data team, the successful candidate will help improve the understanding of data ownership, governance responsibilities and data-related decision making as part of the Transformation Office. As part of the Transformation Office team, the role will also support programme planning, governance, reporting and coordination activities across UK Transformation.

Responsibilities:

Data Governance Foundations

  • Assess current data governance maturity and practices across key business functions.
  • Identify and document critical business data used within priority transformation initiatives.
  • Work with business leaders to establish and agree ownership and accountability for key business data.
  • Support the development of a simple and practical Data Governance Framework aligned to Knight Frank's needs and maturity.
  • Define and document data governance roles, responsibilities and decision-making processes.
  • Establish and coordinate a Data Governance Forum.
  • Develop guidance, templates and standards to support consistent management of business data.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to increase awareness and understanding of data governance principles.
  • Support the identification, management and escalation of data-related risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Work closely with the Data team to ensure governance considerations support reporting, insight and future data initiatives.
  • Ensure data ownership and governance requirements are considered within transformation projects and business change activities.

Programme Support

  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of transformation initiatives across the Knight Frank: Together portfolio.
  • Support the maintenance of project/programme plans, RAID logs, action trackers and dependency registers.
  • Produce regular programme reporting, dashboards and status updates.
  • Coordinate governance meetings, workshops and stakeholder forums.
  • Support preparation of materials for steering committees and leadership meetings.
  • Assist workstream leads with planning, milestone tracking and delivery coordination.
  • Support benefits tracking and reporting activities where required.
  • Help maintain programme standards, templates and governance documentation.

Success Measures:

  • Established a documented Data Governance Framework appropriate to Knight Frank's current level of maturity.
  • Defined and agreed ownership for priority business data domains.
  • Implemented a functioning Data Governance Forum with active business participation.
  • Increased awareness and understanding of data governance responsibilities across key stakeholder groups.
  • Produced a prioritised roadmap for future data governance development.
  • Embedded data governance considerations into major transformation initiatives.
  • Improved visibility and management of data-related risks and issues.
  • Delivered consistent programme reporting and governance support across the UK Transformation portfolio.
