Lead Enterprise Data Governance and AI Readiness Strategy

An well-established financial services organisation. As part of a significant data transformation journey, the firm is investing heavily in data, analytics, and AI capabilities to support its long-term growth ambitions.

Job Description

Lead the governance, classification, stewardship, and management of enterprise data assets.

  • Develop and maintain data catalogues, metadata, lineage, and business data definitions to improve transparency and control.
  • Establish and oversee data quality standards, monitoring frameworks, issue management processes, and remediation activities.
  • Partner with Technology, Compliance, and Information Security teams to ensure effective data protection, access governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive the adoption of automation and AI-enabled solutions to enhance governance processes and scale data management capabilities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 10+ years' experience in a relevant role with significant financial services industry experience.
  • Demonstrated success implementing and operating enterprise-wide data governance and quality frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with data governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, or similar solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, metadata management, lineage, access controls, and data governance considerations related to AI.
