Senior Data Governance Analyst
Location: London, UK (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Experience Level: 8–12 Years

Are you an experienced Senior Data Governance Analyst passionate about building trusted data ecosystems, driving regulatory compliance, and elevating data quality across an enterprise? We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on data leader to shape and mature our data governance framework.

The Role

In this high-impact position, you will drive the organization's overarching data governance strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with business, analytics, legal, and IT leadership to establish robust data policies, define domain accountability, maintain business glossaries, and foster a data-centric culture across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Framework & Policy Leadership: Develop, refine, and maintain enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards (covering data quality, metadata, lineage, classification, and retention).
  • Stewardship & Ownership: Partner with business unit data owners and stewards to define ownership, roles, and operational accountability for key data assets.
  • Data Quality & Remediation: Lead comprehensive data quality assessments, build remediation pipelines, and track core governance maturity KPIs.
  • Metadata & Catalog Management: Maintain and expand data catalogs, business glossaries, and metadata repositories.
  • Regulatory & Risk Compliance: Ensure strict alignment with relevant privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX) and perform data privacy/security risk assessments.
  • MDM & Lineage: Support Master Data Management (MDM) strategies and end-to-end data lineage documentation.
  • Tooling & Culture: Collaborate with technical teams on enterprise governance tools (Collibra, Purview, Informatica, Alation) and lead org-wide training to embed a strong data governance culture.
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare high-level governance reports for senior leadership, internal audits, and regulatory bodies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
