Data Governance SME | Pharma | Contract | Inside IR35

I’m currently supporting a major consulting engagement with a global pharmaceutical organisation that is looking for an experienced Data Governance SME to join a large-scale R&D transformation.

The client is building a new federated Data Governance model across its R&D organisation, bringing together thousands of people and multiple teams that currently operate with different governance approaches, ownership models and data standards.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong technical Data Governance / Data Management background who can operate independently within a complex client environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Help develop and implement a federated Data Governance framework across R&D
  • Define and refine data governance policies, frameworks, playbooks and standards
  • Work closely with local Data Governance teams to align approaches across the organisation
  • Help establish consistent data ownership and governance processes
  • Develop and refine governance artefacts and operating processes
  • Work directly alongside the client team, engagement lead and other Data Governance specialists
  • Bridge the gap between high-level governance strategy and practical data management

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
