Role Purpose
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Data Graduate to join our Data Engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to build a career in data engineering and gain hands-on experience working with modern data platforms, data warehouses, ETL processes, and business intelligence solutions.
You will work closely with experienced Data Engineers, BI Developers, Data Analysts, and business stakeholders to develop and maintain reliable data solutions that support business reporting and decision-making.
What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate in a hybrid environment with data engineers, data architects, and IT teams to ensure data pipelines and warehouse structures meet the analytical needs of the business.
- Write business reports using approved company software development standards.
- Test new reports and modifications using appropriate hardware and software environments.
- Work on small changes and data requests using SQL and Python.
- Monitor pipelines and alerts.
- Participate in team ceremonies and knowledge sharing activities.
- Learn the business domain and develop knowledge of SQL, Python, Databricks, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, and other relevant tools.

About you - Skills/Qualifications/Experience
Essential
- Degree in STEM, Data, or Computer Science.
- Strong communication skills.
- A proactive and curious attitude.
- A willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable
- Apache Spark / Databricks.
- Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Knowledge of dimensional data modelling.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps.
- Source control using Visual Studio Team Services / Git.
- Power BI / Tableau.

Salary
From £30,000, depending on experience
