Role Summary

The Data Handoff & Integration Product Owner is responsible for the end-to-end ownership and development of FCTG's financial data handoff and integration product across all corporate brands globally. This role sits within the Financial Systems Product Team and is accountable for how FCTG transmits and receives financial and payment data across its full ecosystem, including directly to banks, via schemes and through data connectors. This role is not limited to existing data transmission methods but actively scopes and evolves how data is sent and received, ensuring FCTG's data handoff capability remains fit for purpose, scalable and aligned to the needs of the business and its partners. Working in close partnership with the Global Payment Product Manager, this role will manage the data handoff and integration product in its existing state whilst driving improvements and developments to enhance the offering across all corporate brands globally.

What You'll Do

Product Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end data handoff and integration product across FCTG's corporate brands globally
  • Manage the data handoff and integration product stream as subject matter expert within the wider payments roadmap, translating strategic direction from the Global Payment Product Manager into deliverable outcomes
  • Balance the day to day BAU management of existing data handoff and integration processes with driving improvements and new developments
  • Ensure all data transmission methods are well maintained, documented and consistently applied across all markets

Roadmap & Delivery

  • Own and manage the data handoff and integration product stream roadmap, prioritising initiatives in line with the wider payments strategy
  • Write clear and detailed requirements and user stories for the technology team
  • Manage product delivery in partnership with the Global Payment Product Manager, ensuring developments are delivered on time and to the required standard
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements across the data handoff and integration product stream
  • Scope and evaluate new and emerging data transmission methods to ensure FCTG's capability evolves in line with industry developments

Data Handoff & Transmission

  • Own and manage all outbound data handoff processes, including data transmitted directly to banks, via payment schemes and through data connectors such as Dataflex, Grasp and Fiserv
  • Own and manage all inbound data processes, including how FCTG receives data and manages changes in file feeds, processes and formats from issuers and schemes
  • Ensure all data handoff and transmission processes are well maintained, accurate and operationally effective across all markets
  • Scope and evaluate data transmission methods beyond existing approaches, identifying opportunities to improve and evolve how data is sent and received across the ecosystem
  • Ensure all data handoff processes are well documented and consistently applied across all corporate brands globally

Technology, Integrations & Partner Management

  • Own the technology and integration landscape for the data handoff and integration product, working closely with internal technology teams and external data connector and integration partners
  • Manage relationships with key data connector partners including Dataflex, Grasp, Fiserv and similar
  • Work with technology and integration partners to identify and deliver enhancements across the data handoff and integration product stream

Operational Processes

  • Own and maintain the operational processes that underpin the data handoff and integration product across all corporate brands globally
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies and drive improvements to ensure the product operates effectively at scale
  • Work with internal teams to ensure operational processes are understood, documented and consistently applied across all markets
  • Manage and respond to changes in file feeds, formats and processes from issuers and schemes, ensuring the business is well prepared and aligned at all times

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across technology, finance, operations, sales and account management to ensure the data handoff and integration product is well supported and understood across the business
  • Work closely with the Global Payment Product Manager to support the enablement of new bank and payment scheme relationships where data handoff is required

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner within a traditional product led environment
  • Strong understanding of financial data handoff and integration within a payments or corporate travel environment
  • Experience working with data connectors, file feeds and financial data transmission methods
  • Experience working with banks, payment schemes and issuers on data and integration processes
  • Strong understanding of inbound and outbound financial data flows and file formats
  • Experience writing requirements and user stories for technology teams
  • Experience managing product delivery end to end
  • Ability to manage and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a global remit
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for a range of audiences
  • Previous experience in a global or multi-market role within corporate travel or travel payments is desirable
  • Experience working with Dataflex, Grasp, Fiserv or similar data connector platforms is desirable
