Position: Data-heavy chemistry/materials Science Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $80 - $100/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive, data-rich insights based on experience in chemistry or materials science.
- Document real-world scenarios utilizing AI agents for tasks like codebase navigation and debugging.
- Compose detailed written accounts and participate in feedback sessions to elucidate methodologies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and limitations of AI agents in technical workflows.
- Collaborate remotely with the project team, sharing domain-specific expertise.
- Contribute to the development of datasets and training materials using AI code-generation tools.

Requirements
- Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in chemistry, materials science, or related STEM field.
- Proficiency with AI coding agents like Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
- Ability to apply AI agents beyond code assistance for debugging and feature development.
- Experience with large or complex codebases in computational chemistry or laboratory automation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
