The role
As Data & Insight Analyst, you'll play a key role in ensuring our business has access to accurate, trusted data and meaningful insight.
- You'll take ownership of data quality across Salesforce and other business systems, using your expertise in Excel and data analysis to identify issues, investigate trends, maintain data integrity and improve the quality of the information available to the business.
- You'll also work closely with our commercial teams, particularly our BDE team, analysing sales and commercial data to understand performance, identify trends and highlight opportunities.
- You'll present your findings to stakeholders, helping them understand what the data is telling them and how it can support better decisions.
This isn't simply a reporting role. You'll be expected to get underneath the data, understand what's driving the numbers, investigate issues and explain your findings in a way that makes sense to people who aren't data specialists.
- You'll also work with colleagues across the business to understand how data moves between systems, support integrations and automated data flows, and troubleshoot issues when they arise.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of data quality, accuracy and governance across Salesforce and other business systems
- Working with large datasets and using advanced Excel to analyse trends, identify issues and produce meaningful insight
- Analysing sales and commercial data to understand performance and identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
- Producing regular reporting, dashboards and analysis for commercial stakeholders
- Presenting sales and performance insight directly to the BDE team
- Helping commercial teams understand what the data is telling them and how they can use it
- Investigating data issues and carrying out root-cause analysis
- Identifying opportunities to improve data processes, quality and reporting
- Working with Salesforce data, reporting and governance
- Using SQL/SOQL to extract and interrogate data
- Supporting data flows between systems, including APIs, integrations and automated processes
- Working with stakeholders across the business to understand their data needs and translate complex information into clear, practical insight

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with data and gets satisfaction from finding the story behind the numbers.
- You'll be highly analytical but also comfortable talking to people, presenting your findings and explaining data in a straightforward way.
Advanced Excel skills are essential. You'll be confident working with large and complex datasets and using Excel to analyse, manipulate and present information. This will include tools such as Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and Power Query.
- You'll also have strong experience in data quality, cleansing, validation and governance, along with experience working with Salesforce data and reporting.
Experience with Plauti or a similar Salesforce data quality and deduplication tool would be a strong advantage. We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked with tools such as Plauti, Cloudingo, DemandTools or similar solutions, but experience with one specific product isn't essential if you have strong underlying data quality experience.
You'll Likely Have Experience In
- Advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and Power Query
- Data analysis, reporting and insight
- Working with large and complex datasets
- Data quality, cleansing, validation and governance
- Data triage, investigation and root-cause analysis
- Salesforce data and reporting
- Plauti, Cloudingo, DemandTools or similar data quality/deduplication tools – desirable
- SQL/SOQL querying and data extraction
- APIs, integrations and automated data processes
- Building reports and dashboards
- Analysing sales and commercial performance data
- Presenting data and insight to commercial and non-technical stakeholders
Most importantly, you'll be someone who can look beyond the numbers, identify the story they're telling and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.

Location
This is a highly flexible hybrid role. You'll attend our Aldford office (CH3) one or two days per week, with the remainder of your time working remotely.
We're particularly keen to hear from candidates based in Chester, Wrexham, Liverpool, Warrington, the Wirral, Manchester and North Wales who can comfortably travel to Aldford when required.
Typical Commuting Times Include
- Chester / Wrexham: 15–20 minutes
- The Wirral: around 25 minutes
- Warrington / Frodsham: around 35 minutes
- Liverpool City Centre: around 35 minutes
- South Manchester / Altrincham: around 45 minutes
