As a Data Insights Engineer, you'll design and deliver modern data solutions that transform complex information into trusted, actionable insights. Working alongside business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams, you'll develop scalable cloud-based data products that improve decision-making, enhance operational performance and create lasting value for our clients. You'll have the opportunity to work with leading Azure technologies, contribute innovative ideas and develop your expertise within a collaborative environment that empowers you to make a real impact.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will design, develop and deliver scalable data solutions that enable clients to unlock the full value of their data. You'll build robust data pipelines, develop cloud-based data models and create intuitive dashboards that provide meaningful insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. Working closely with business stakeholders, you'll translate complex requirements into practical, high-quality solutions that improve reporting, analytics and business performance.

You'll collaborate with architects, software engineers and platform teams throughout the solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and technical design through to deployment and continuous improvement. You'll also help strengthen data governance, improve data quality and identify opportunities to modernise data platforms using emerging technologies and engineering best practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
