How This Role Contributes to Our Collective Success?
This is an opportunity to use data and analytics to make a meaningful difference to one of the most important decision-making areas at AXIS: Reserving. In this role, you will help the Reserving team turn complex data into clear, trusted insight so they can better understand trends, explain movements, and make confident decisions.
In this role, you will help us:
- Make reserving decisions easier to understand by improving access to consistent, timely, and well-defined data.
- Bring important trends to the surface, helping the team understand what is changing, why it matters, and where more analysis may be needed.
- Reduce manual effort and improve the way reserving analysis is produced, shared, and used across the business.
You will help shape how reserving analytics evolves at AXIS, building practical insight capabilities that make it easier to understand portfolio movements, compare views across business areas, monitor key indicators, and support high-quality discussions with senior stakeholders.
You will work closely with colleagues across Reserving, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, and Data & Analytics to understand what the Reserving team needs and turn those needs into useful dashboards, datasets, self-service tools, and repeatable insight products. You will also partner with technical teams to make sure reserving data is trusted, accessible, clearly defined, and fit for decision-making.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
