Data & Insight Manager (Contract)
Location: North Yorkshire (Hybrid)
Contract: 3 months
Rate: £300 per day (Inside IR35)
Working Pattern: Part-time considered (3 days per week)
Office Attendance: Approximately 1 day per fortnight
We are seeking an experienced Data & Insight Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation on an initial 3-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to lead improvements in data governance, reporting and analytics, helping the organisation make better, data-driven decisions.
Working closely with senior leaders, you will play a key role in developing a modern data function, improving data quality and governance, and delivering meaningful insight through dynamic reporting and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of data governance and data quality initiatives across the organisation.
- Develop and enhance reporting, dashboards and self-service analytics using Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate these into actionable insight.
- Support the development of the organisation's data strategy and improve data maturity.
- Oversee the management and integrity of data across multiple systems.
- Champion the effective use of AI and emerging technologies to improve reporting and decision making.
- Develop KPI and performance reporting frameworks to support operational and strategic decision making.
- Introduce and utilise external datasets to provide additional business insight.
- Lead and support a small data and analytics team, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.

About You
You'll bring:
- Experience leading or managing a data, insight or performance function.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality and reporting best practice.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data from multiple sources.
- Experience developing dashboards and self-service reporting solutions (Power BI experience highly desirable).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Experience contributing to data strategy and improving organisational data maturity.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
