Lead the insight. Shape the strategy. Turn data into action.

At Northern Gas Networks (NGN), data is more than numbers on a dashboard, it helps us make smarter decisions, improve the way we work and deliver the best possible service for our customers. We are looking for an experienced Data & Insights Team Leader to bring energy, direction and fresh thinking to our Data & Insights team, leading the delivery of trusted reporting, scalable analytics and meaningful business insight.

This is a great opportunity to combine people leadership with real strategic influence. You will support and develop a talented team, shape how data is used across the business and help embed stronger governance, smarter reporting and greater self-service analytics across NGN.

In this role you will

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Data & Insights team, creating a culture of continuous improvement
  • Develop and drive NGN's Data and Digitalisation Strategy, ensuring it supports business objectives and industry requirements
  • Manage team workload, priorities and capacity to ensure the successful delivery of reporting, analytics and insight services
  • Oversee service delivery performance, ensuring requests and incidents are managed effectively and within agreed service levels
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, technical teams, regulators and external partners to maximise the value of data
  • Champion data governance, data quality and compliant data management practices across NGN
  • Drive reporting excellence by developing trusted dashboards, KPI reporting and self-service analytics capabilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
