Role Overview

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Systems & Transformation team. In this role, you will support Actuations GBU by empowering the business to make informed, data-driven decisions. Your mission is to bridge the gap between raw data and insight by providing the trusted foundation for all operational and self-service needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across all Actuations GBU sites and functions to automate and improve processes, eliminating time-consuming manual processes and increasing overall efficiency, through application development, support, documentation, planning and reporting Insite.
  • Work closely with the existing team, business stakeholders, and suppliers to design, develop, and enhance secure, reliable data and systems integrations across our platforms.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with our multi-skilled development team.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical designs, integration patterns, data mappings, and delivery tasks.
  • Design, document, and maintain web applications and analytics.
  • Identify upgrades and changes that improve efficiency, resilience, maintainability, security, and cost-effectiveness of solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data-related system issues, complete root cause analysis to identify effective solutions.
  • Enhance production monitoring and alerting to reduce resolution times.
  • Promote and improve standards for development.

Essential Requirements

  • ASP.NET / Software Development: Knowledge of ASP.NET to support and maintain existing web applications.
  • SQL / Database Management: Strong SQL knowledge, including complex data extraction and transformation.
  • Tableau: Proven expertise in Tableau, with the ability to develop interactive and impactful dashboards.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrable experience of solving complex logic and data-flow challenges.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate complex data and technical findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders.

Desirable Requirements

  • Process Automation: Experience of identifying opportunities for and implementing process automation.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: A forward-thinking approach to managing technical debt and anticipating future reporting and data needs.
  • Data & Reporting Development: Experience of improving existing reporting solutions and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, usability, and insight.
