Job Description

We are looking for a Data & Integration Developer to join the Technology team at The All England Lawn Tennis Club.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Work closely with the existing team, business stakeholders and suppliers to design, develop and enhance secure, reliable data and systems integrations across the Azure middleware estate and our other platforms.
  • Deliver high-quality, maintainable and unit-tested code.
  • Share knowledge and best practice with our multi-skilled development team.
  • Build usable, well-architected services that enable innovation across the business.
  • Introduce and use AI tools across the development lifecycle, such as code review, code generation, testing, documentation and use of agents, ensuring AI is producing high-quality output that meets our expectation.
  • Participate in the detailed design, configuration and development of web application middleware integrations, including APIs, Logic Apps, Service Bus messaging, APIM routing and security, data transformation, monitoring and operational support.
  • Design, document and maintain APIs, web services and integration contracts, ensuring that interface specifications, mappings, business rules and operational dependencies are clear, discoverable and kept up to date.
  • Define, maintain and improve data transfer protocols, integration processes and data handling standards, with appropriate consideration of security, GDPR, resilience and operational support.
  • Develop and automate services, processes and deployment procedures using appropriate source control, Azure DevOps pipelines, infrastructure-as-code and release governance.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical designs, integration patterns, data mappings and delivery tasks.
  • Identify upgrades and changes that improve efficiency, resilience, maintainability, security and cost effectiveness across middleware services.
  • Actively manage middleware configuration to meet required service characteristics, including performance tuning.
  • Parse logs to support root-cause analysis, distinguishing between system and application issues.
  • Troubleshoot data-related system issues and work with suppliers and developers to identify effective solutions.
  • Enhance monitoring and alerting across production environments, support rapid incident resolution, and escalate recurring issues for investigation and longer-term remediation.
  • Promote and improve standards for development.

What part your role will play in The Championships

  • Support change and release management for middleware services during The Championships, including preparing implementation steps, coordinating testing across environments, supporting CAB submissions, documenting pre-requisites and post-deployment activities, and ensuring production releases are controlled and traceable.
  • Create and maintain Championships-specific operational documentation for middleware services, including support steps, escalation routes, scheduling, dependencies, known issues and post-event improvement actions.
  • Monitor applications, APIs and middleware services during The Championships, using agreed dashboards, alerts and escalation routes to support rapid investigation and resolution.
  • Provide hands-on support for live systems when needed, working with internal teams and suppliers to investigate incidents, restore service and document follow-up actions.
  • Document lessons learnt, discuss service improvements and plan prioritised changes for the next Championships, including improvements to resilience, monitoring, documentation and support processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
