Data Integration & Geo Services Engineer

We are seeking a Data Integration & Geo Services Engineer to join a Capability Engineering team delivering data platforms and pipelines that underpin operational and analytical services supporting Royal Navy Maritime Domain Awareness outputs.

This is a hands-on engineering role, focused on building and operating containerised data and integration services within enterprise on-premise environments that collect, process, enrich and disseminate data across enterprise and geospatial platforms. You will work across the technology stack and will be expected to understand and troubleshoot the infrastructure, operating systems, networking, storage and platform services upon which data services depend.

You will work across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion through to delivery, ensuring data is accessible, trusted and usable. You will take new and existing sources of operational data and engineer reliable ways to acquire, process, store, enrich, and disseminate them. This may involve APIs, streaming data, enterprise messaging, spatial data, databases and geospatial platforms. The emphasis is on solving integration and data engineering problems rather than working with any single product or technology.

Experience with enterprise GIS technologies such as ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise would be advantageous but is not essential. We are primarily seeking experienced data engineers with strong engineering fundamentals who can apply those skills across a range of enterprise data technologies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
