HIRING: Data Lakehouse Engineer

Location: Basildon, UK
Work Mode: Fully Onsite
Contract Duration: 12 Months

We are looking for an experienced Data Lakehouse Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake, SQL, DBT, and ETL/ELT pipeline development. The ideal candidate should have solid experience building scalable data pipelines, developing data models, and optimising Snowflake workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT.
  • Design and develop high-quality data models, including dimensional modelling and star schema models.
  • Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowpipe, Snowflake Streams, Snowflake Tasks, and Stored Procedures.
  • Work with time-series datasets and analytical workloads.
  • Develop advanced SQL queries and perform SQL performance tuning.
  • Optimise Snowflake warehouse performance, cost, and resource utilisation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the organisation's cloud data platform.
  • Work with risk stakeholders to support rule-based and analytical fraud logic.
  • Ensure data quality, data lineage, and auditability across data workflows.
  • Support advanced analytics and GenAI-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with platform engineers and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end data flows.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Snowflake Developer or Snowflake Data Engineer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Strong expertise in Advanced SQL.
  • Strong experience in SQL performance tuning and warehouse optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowpipe.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake Streams.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake Tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake Stored Procedures.
  • Strong ETL/ELT development experience.
  • Experience with data modelling, dimensional modelling, and star schema.
  • Experience with DBT is preferred.
  • Experience with scalable data pipeline development.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, data lineage, and auditability.
  • Experience working with analytical workloads and cloud data platforms.
