What are we looking for?
Moorhouse is supporting a major UK regulator in identifying an experienced Data Lead to lead a specialist data analytics team delivering a high-profile pilot funds data programme. The programme aims to improve regulatory supervision through enhanced use of data, analytics and reporting, helping supervisors identify trends, risks and emerging issues across the financial services sector.
We are seeking candidates with strong data leadership, stakeholder management and analytical delivery experience who can combine strategic oversight with hands-on engagement. The successful candidate will lead a team of analysts, drive the development of supervisory intelligence and reporting capabilities, and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure analytical outputs support regulatory decision-making.

- 5-7 years' experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data delivery or related disciplines, including experience leading teams or workstreams
- Experience leading data, analytics or intelligence teams in complex and fast-paced environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engaging and influencing senior business stakeholders
- Experience translating complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for decision makers
- Experience managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes under challenging timescales
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to structure and solve ambiguous business challenges
- Experience overseeing data analysis, dashboard development and reporting activities
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster effective collaboration across business and technical stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, with experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements and obtaining stakeholder feedback
- Evidence of coaching, supporting and quality assuring the work of analysts and wider project teams

Highly Desirable
- Experience working within financial services, regulatory organisations or other highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting, supervisory intelligence or risk analytics
- Experience leading data-led transformation, analytics or reporting programmes
- Experience using data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making and business outcomes
- Experience presenting analytical findings and recommendations to senior executives or leadership teams
Engagement Details
What do I need before I apply
- Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
- IR35 Status: Outside IR35
- Location: London (Hybrid, approximately 50% office attendance)
- Start Date: 19th October
- Duration: 4-month engagement with the option to extend for up to a further 3 months
- Must hold a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
Interview Process
Candidates must be available to participate in:
- An initial interview with Moorhouse
- A subsequent interview with the client
