DATA LEAD, OPERATIONS DOMAIN
Luton | Full-time | Hybrid
30%25 bonus • 7%25 pension • Staff travel benefits
We support hybrid working, and you’ll spend 60%25 of your time each month in the office.
You’re a strategic data leader who knows how to turn business priorities into measurable outcomes.
You enjoy working with senior stakeholders, influencing without authority, and bringing together diverse teams to solve complex challenges. If you’re passionate about using data to improve operational performance and delivering value in fast-paced environments, this is an opportunity to help shape the future of data at easyJet.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As Data Lead for the Operations domain, you’ll be the senior data partner to Operations leadership and the driving force behind the domain’s data agenda.
Working as part of a newly evolving Data and Analytics operating model, you’ll define priorities, shape the roadmap and coordinate delivery across analytics, engineering, data science, architecture and governance teams. Rather than leading a direct team, you’ll deliver through influence, collaboration and strong stakeholder partnerships.
This is a rare opportunity to help build a growing data function while working in one of the most data-rich operational environments in Europe.
"The ideal person for this role combines strategic thinking with practical delivery. You'll be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, navigating complexity and ensuring data investment translates into real business value across our operation."
THE TEAM & CULTURE
The Data and Analytics function is being rebuilt around a domain operating model, with Data Leads acting as the connection point between business teams and central data capabilities.
You'll work closely with specialists across Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Analytics, Data Science and Data Governance, while partnering with Operations leaders to embed data-driven decision making throughout the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You'll coordinate delivery across multi-disciplinary teams, securing the right resources, managing dependencies and driving adoption of data products across the domain.
You'll also champion data governance, quality and standards, helping stakeholders understand their ownership responsibilities while improving data maturity across the Operations function.
