Data Lead
Project Falcon | Transform the Future of Data at Tarmac
Are you a data leader who thrives on turning complexity into clarity? Do you enjoy bringing people, processes and technology together to deliver transformational change? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for a Data Lead to take ownership of the data workstream for Project Falcon, Tarmac's flagship SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. This is a high-impact role at the heart of a business-critical change initiative, where you'll shape how data is governed, migrated and managed across the organisation.
Working with senior stakeholders, business owners, technology teams and delivery partners, you'll ensure the right data is available, trusted and ready to support new ways of working across SAP, Salesforce, DigiFleet and our operational platforms.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsibilities
As Data Lead, you'll be responsible for driving the successful delivery of the programme's end-to-end data strategy and migration activities. You'll:
- Own and deliver the integrated Falcon data roadmap, managing milestones, dependencies, risks and delivery outcomes.
- Lead a team of three Data Analysts, providing direction, coaching and quality oversight.
- Champion Tarmac's data governance and delivery standards throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Define data ownership, stewardship, standards and acceptance criteria with business stakeholders.
- Oversee data discovery, profiling and quality assessments across multiple source systems.
- Govern data mapping, transformation, cleansing and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Coordinate business, technical and supplier teams to align data requirements with process and solution design.
- Plan and manage migration cycles, mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover activities and hypercare support.
- Provide clear reporting on data readiness, risks and quality issues to programme leadership and governance forums.
- Drive continuous improvement, leaving behind stronger governance, controls and reusable best practices for future deployment waves.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
