Role Description

This is an excellent opportunity to build your expertise in data quality, data governance, and Party Master Data Management (MDM) within the Chief Data Office (CDO) function. You will play a key role in improving the quality, usability, and understanding of customer data across Allianz, supporting both large-scale transformation programmes and business-as-usual continuous improvement activities.

Location: This role is based in our Guildford office. Please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you attend the office 3+ days per month.

Salary Information

  • Pay: Circa £42,000 per year.
  • Pay is based on relevant experience, skills, and location and forms part of our wider total rewards package.

About The Role

  • Analyse customer and organisational data to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, duplicates, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data profiling techniques to assess completeness, accuracy, data patterns, and fitness for business use.
  • Investigate and resolve data-related incidents raised through support processes, identifying root causes and implementing practical solutions.
  • Maintain data quality logs, documenting issues, remediation activities, decisions, and progress updates.
  • Build and enhance dashboards, reports, and metrics to support data quality monitoring and business decision-making.
  • Support matching and duplicate-resolution activities, helping maintain accurate master records across multiple systems.
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities using structured analytical approaches.
  • Create and maintain clear process documentation, data fix records, and working practices.
  • Collaborate with data owners, analysts, business stakeholders, and technical teams to support data governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop specialist knowledge in Party Master Data Management and contribute to improving customer data across Allianz.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a data-focused role such as Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, Data Governance Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or a similar position.
  • Awareness of key data management concepts including data quality, data governance, metadata, data lineage, reference data, and data standards.
  • Experience using SQL or similar tools to query, manipulate, validate, and investigate data.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, investigate data issues, determine root causes, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Experience producing reports, dashboards, and data quality metrics for operational or business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand data challenges, gather requirements, and agree practical solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in developing a career within data management and Party Master Data Management.

Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to Master Data Management concepts such as duplicate management, entity resolution, record matching, and golden records.
  • Experience working within insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data stewardship, and enterprise data management best practices.
  • Experience using BI, reporting, or analytics tools to visualise data quality trends and operational performance.
  • Experience working within Agile or cross-functional delivery environments.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage and awareness of how AI can support data quality, governance, and analytics activities.
