Job Description

JOB TITLE: Data Management Senior Manager.

SALARY: £85,500pa to £100,500pa plus an extensive benefits package.

LOCATIONS: Leeds, Bristol or Edinburgh.

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

We're looking for an experienced data leader to help us modernise to deliver great and innovative solutions to customers. You will be making sure our data is well managed, accurate and trusted, building the foundation for AI and future technology applications.

Here’s what you’ll get involved in:

  • Leading investigations and analysing data to recommend and support solutions for our business areas.
  • Identifying opportunities to strategically implement data quality controls, building and enhancing metadata, undertaking data and risk management practices, mitigating risk, for the benefit of our Colleagues, Customers, and the Group.
  • Collaboratively working with colleagues and senior leaders from different areas across Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) and the Group in order to understand and provide value and insight for our customers. You will be representing IP&I and ensuring alignment to both IP&I and Group policies.
  • Promoting automation and innovation activities to ensure our processes and approaches are as efficient as possible.
  • Communicating complex messaging to senior management, especially visually and through “telling the story” in a compelling way.

What you’ll need

  • Proven Data Management experience in metadata management, data quality issue management and the building of Data Products.
  • SME/Specialist knowledge in Collibra, Ataccama, Knowledge Catalog and other Data Management tooling.
  • Technical background and knowledge of data engineering, analytics, and Cloud technologies.
  • Have an active interest in new and emerging tools and technologies.
  • Experience of leading and driving Data Governance Forums and Committees.
  • Insurance, Pensions & Investments product knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and story-telling skills.
  • Project planning / change management experience.
  • Previous experience of leading and managing teams.
